Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Splitzzzy, operated by postcard.exchange, LLC ("we," "us," "our"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use Splitzzzy.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction) to use Splitzzzy. By using the service you confirm you meet this requirement.
2. Your account
You're responsible for keeping your account secure. Your phone number is your identifier — don't share your login codes with anyone. One phone number may be associated with one Splitzzzy account. If you suspect unauthorized access, contact us immediately at contact@splitzzzy.com.
3. Pairing with a partner
Splitzzzy is designed for two people. You and one other person ("your partner") can pair your accounts to share expense data. By pairing, you each consent to the other having access to all shared expense records. You can unpair at any time from your account settings.
4. Subscription and billing
Splitzzzy requires a paid subscription after a 14-day free trial. Subscriptions are billed per couple (one subscription covers both paired accounts) at the rate shown at checkout. Pricing is in US dollars.
Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel. You can cancel anytime from the billing section of your settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — we don't offer refunds for partial periods.
We may change subscription pricing with 30 days' notice. Continued use after a price change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the new price.
All payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing you also agree to Stripe's terms.
5. Bank connections
You may optionally connect a bank account via Stripe Financial Connections. This gives us read-only access to your transaction data. You can disconnect at any time from your settings. Connecting a bank account is subject to Stripe Financial Connections' end-user terms.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Splitzzzy for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the service or its infrastructure
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code
- Use the service to process fraudulent transactions or expenses
- Impersonate any person or entity
- Interfere with or disrupt the service
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
7. Intellectual property
All content, design, code, branding, and trademarks associated with Splitzzzy are owned by postcard.exchange, LLC. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our name, logo, or branding without prior written permission.
Your expense data belongs to you. We claim no ownership over it.
8. Third-party services
Splitzzzy integrates with third-party services including Stripe and Supabase. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We're not responsible for their practices.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
Splitzzzy is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses. Use it at your own risk.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, postcard.exchange, LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Splitzzzy. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or the service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless postcard.exchange, LLC and its officers, directors, and employees from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of Splitzzzy or your violation of these Terms.
12. Termination
You may delete your account at any time from your settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, with or without notice. On termination, your right to use the service ends immediately.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Wyoming, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Wyoming.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll notify you of material changes via the app or by SMS. If you continue using Splitzzzy after updated Terms take effect, you've accepted the changes.
